Life At Conifer

We care deeply about our customers and the quality of service we provide to them. We have grown our company in our hometowns of Groveland and Sonora since 2008, and our first customers were family, neighbors, our old school teachers, and friends. As word has spread about what we do and the access we offer, our number of customers and new friends has grown. It is our goal to give our customers the best and fastest internet connection possible using top technology. We do so with a friendly smile and a neighborly wave.

Meet the team.

David H

President

El Jefe, the boss man, head janitor, Mr. Contractor, or just "hey you". Call him anything but Dave! He's our fearless leader. While he likes to stay behind the scenes making sure everything is running smooth; we thank him for always being the first one at work and the last one to call it a night. Outside of work, you can find him... working. Still. On other things like: watering with the dogs, inventing something new, or just pondering life over a quick cup of coffee.

Sonja L

Director of Company Development

We still aren't sure exactly what Sonja does around here (because it's so much), but we know that she keeps things going. You may have spoken to her on the phone, met her at an event, or just seen her name at the bottom of an email. In her off time she's a winemaker and on the boards of a few non-profits. She's in her happy place when surrounded by friends, family, food, and wine.

Stefan K

Network Engineer

He's the man that finds the fixes for the issues that leave the rest of us scratching our heads. He clears and reviews trouble tickets, keeps the network humming, and can be found out and about on an installation team. He has the cutest dog, too! Oh, and we hear he's a great cook, or at least the food looks delicious in those Instagram pics!

Groveland Manager

(AKA Jim Ventura Internet Detective)! Jim is the man who keeps us on our toes with his humor and great laugh. He's a wonderful father and husband who can be found telling stories of the big fish he caught over the weekend. If you see him driving the van around Groveland, wave and say, "Hi"!

Danielle R

San Andreas Manager

Working out of our San Andreas Office, Danielle is our Customer Service Guru! While packing a background in banking she keeps us in line on privacy & security with a homestyle friendly personality. She works hard to ensure the satisfaction of our customers while also being a support system for her peers. She is a proud mamma of one and on her off time you can find this savage out on the softball field or playing Mario Kart!

Rod P

Systems Manager

Rod is a Local hillbilly.....with a twist of tech LOL Rod was in the Bay area working most of his career, semiconductor, automation, medical industry. He lives on the family ranch in Jamestown with Ryn his dog. Rod enjoys helping others with whatever it may be. He especially enjoys working on his family's cattle ranch Rod has 3 awesome kids Alisha, Britni and Liv. Liv is Gymnastics "SUPERSTAR"

Hannah S

Calendar Coordinator

She's a trained EMT who keeps it real and makes everything as nice and healthy (as possible) with our schedules. Her dry wit keeps everyone on their toes and in stitches. She loves to travel almost as much as she loves her dog Bandit.

Chris E

Technician/Graphic Designer

Chris, the renaissance man of Conifer—Both a technician and an artist. He makes beautiful wire runs and does all of our print design. If you've ever admired our vehicles, newspaper ad, or shirt design, we have Chris to thank. When not behind his computer, you can find him out Jeeping with Jason, or under a pair of headphones enjoying some classic vinyl.

Technician/Climber

Our second certified tower instructor and our newest dad, he can be found on the weekends chilling on the porch with his 2 sons or rocking out with his band. During the week, he's up on towers, roofs, or any other high point to get that perfect signal.

Kendra B

Customer Service

Kendra works out of our Groveland office. She and her husband have 3 crazy kids, a Doberman, and 3 wacky chickens to keep them busy. She's an Army vet of 6 years who was born in the Bay Area, grew up in Southern Oregon, and has now put down roots in Tuo. Co.

Josh P

Technician

This is Josh (P), a Conifer Technician and one of our new tower climbers! He's digging the new tech skills he has gained and has done great learning the ropes (literally). We think he has caught the off-roading bug as he was showing us his cool new shocks and loves working on his truck. Out of the office, he can be found hanging out with his lovely family and enjoying the seasons with snowboarding in the winter and going to the lake in the summer.

Customer Service

We are so happy to have Alex back with us. As the first woman to brave the office, she uses all of her knowledge when we have her with us each morning. And we happy to share her with her adorable son in the afternoons. Alex is a big Disney and Harry Potter fan who has helped keep the joy in our office for years.

Tower Construction

Owen is a member of our tower team, who works hard to get steel in the air! He works to keep the towers safe and secure. At home you can find Owen and his sons out working in their big garden growing delicious veggies. But- don't let him fool you, the boys still say their favorite food is pizza!

Chelsea O

Customer Service

Chelsea is originally from Murphys and has now settled in Mountain Ranch with her husband and 3 pups, after living all across the country. When not working she is usually making jewelry, painting, reading, looking for crystals or watching tv, and just hanging out with her fur babies.

Josh W

Tower Construction

Josh (W) is the newest member of our Conifer Tower team; he helps to put metal in the sky! Growing up in Columbia he, like many of us, became an outdoor enthusiast. Josh is also a partner in Sweetwater Farm & Ranch Co. who specializes in artisan pork products. He’s the proud papa of 3 kiddos and can be found in his down-time enjoying hiking, fishing, and other fun activities with his family.

Technical Lead

A certified tower instructor who knows how to get things done. Although he has a serious position, he still knows how to have fun. This selfie star keeps us all up to date with the best pictures of customer pets, tower vistas, and new funny faces that his kids have taught him. A true family man, Jerm has been caught sneaking his wife a kiss on the cheek, taking naps with his baby girl, and teaching his son to fish, climb trees, or the best martial arts moves he knows.

Technician/Networking

After his time in the Navy Chris applied for Conifer because it was the same job he fulfilled while he was enlisted. Chris is a fifth-generation Calaveras native who is an outdoor enthusiast and is always willing to go on an adventure and show his family something new. Whether it’s hiking, fishing, or hunting the woods is where he feels he belongs.

Owner

She's the mom to us all, keeping us in cookies and goodies. Her "real" job at the company keeping up on the mail, bills, and banking in the corporate office. If you see her around town in her Conifer jeep and have questions, just ask away! She says she's not a techie at all (and that's true) but she is proud of the team and will tell you all about the good work the techs do.
